Jeff and Tom, two American hunters, find themselves lost in the misty Scottish Highlands.

They discover a hidden village that isn't on any map, where they are welcomed by the locals but soon realize something is amiss. The village is cursed by an ancient sorcerer, and every hundred years, it becomes visible to outsiders to feed the spirits that haunt it. Tom and Jeff are aided by Fiona, a woman who resists the sorcerer's power. In a final showdown, Tom sacrifices himself to save Fiona, shattering the altar that holds the curse. The village crumbles, and Tom and Fiona fade away together, leaving Jeff to return alone, forever changed by the experience.
