This Beautiful Mess

A Trespass Of Light

Your love woke me from hibernation

Your voice a sweet summer melody

You are my warmth my fireplace

Your smile melts the coldest ice

Your love felt like coming home

Your laughter the seasons first song

Your eyes the color of spring

You left when the leaves did

We huddled together in the storm

We walked through the golden woods

We found warmth in the blizzard

Your love is a warm pumpkin spice

We were safe from the winter

We shared coffee in the crisp air

Winters end promises our beginning

Your arms are my winter haven

You are the sunshine after rain

Your love is a cozy sweater

Your absence is a cold autumn

The first snow our first hug

This cold silence reminds me of you

Wrapped in a blanket with you

Winters chill your warm hands

We gathered memories like fallen leaves

The scent of spring your perfume

The wind carried your name away

The world awakened and so did we

The vibrant colors of our passion

The quiet magic of falling snow

The promise of a new spring

Sun kissed shoulders your gentle touch

The world was quiet like snow

We chased fireflies and our dreams

Waiting for you through the winter

Tracing your name on frosty glass

Waiting for love to thaw again

Sharing a scarf in the cold

Snowflakes melted on your eyelashes

Starry nights and conversations

The chilling reality of your absence

Salty air and your sweet kiss

That summer song was about us

Sun on my skin you on my mind

Spring blossoms mirrored our new love

Red leaves matched my burning cheeks

That summer was made for us

Our love was a brilliant firework

My heart is frozen without you

Planting the seeds of our future

Our love hibernated waiting for spring

Our memories smell like summer rain

Nostalgia smells like burning leaves

Gentle breeze your whisper in my ear

First kiss under the April rain

A love as fresh as morning mist
