She writes every day and can seem to stick to a genre, having dabbled in historical fiction, contemporary family drama and romance, as well as speculative fiction. Kat is the creator of the Pencils&Lipstick podcast, a podcast for writers with author interviews, craft talk and insight into the publishing world. She is also a trained fiction and nonfiction book coach.

This short story was part of a short story challenge. The story had to be less than 500 words long, be a romance and include the action of sweating and the waxed paper as the object. When I got it back, I changed it a bit. I think it’s better a little longer.
